Everything on KidZaps is written for the adult who is going to hand it to a child: a classroom teacher, a parent at the kitchen table, a tutor with forty minutes and a specific gap to close. This page explains how the material gets made and what you can expect from it.

Who writes the worksheets

Every worksheet and article is credited to a named author, and each author has a profile page listing their qualifications, the age groups they teach and how long they have been doing it. If a page carries a byline, that person wrote or reviewed the content on it. We do not publish anonymously.

Curriculum alignment

US material is written against the Common Core State Standards for mathematics and English language arts, and against widely used state standards for science and social studies. UK material is written against the National Curriculum for England, including the Early Years Foundation Stage for our youngest activities. Where a worksheet maps cleanly to a specific standard, that standard is named on the page.

Alignment is a guide, not a guarantee. Districts and schools sequence topics differently, so please check a worksheet fits where your class actually is before printing thirty copies.

How accuracy is checked

Before a worksheet is published, the answer key is worked through independently of the person who wrote the questions. Reading level is checked against the stated grade band. Instructions are read aloud, because wording that looks fine on screen often turns out to be ambiguous when a seven year old has to follow it alone.

Corrections

Mistakes get through. When we find one, or when a reader reports one, we fix the file and note the change on the page rather than quietly replacing it. If you spot an error in a question, an answer key or a standard we have cited, please email us and include the worksheet title. Reports about answer keys go to the front of the queue.

How we use AI

AI tools are used for routine production work: suggesting variations on a question type, checking spelling and reading level, and formatting. Every question, answer and explanation that reaches a page has been read and approved by the credentialed author named on it. No worksheet is published straight from a model.

Advertising and independence

The site is free and carries advertising. Advertisers have no say in what we publish, which topics we cover or how a worksheet is worded, and we do not sell placement inside educational content. Nothing on the site requires an account or a payment.

Children's privacy

Worksheets are designed to be used without an account. We do not ask children for names, email addresses or any other personal information, and interactive activities keep progress in the browser rather than sending it anywhere. Our full approach is in the privacy policy.
