Ideal for: classroom warm-ups, take-home practice, homework packets and homeschool curriculum.
Missing Numbers 1-50
Complete the number chart by filling in missing numbers from 1 to 50.
Purpose & benefits
Filling in missing numbers shows what students really know. Reciting a sequence is one thing. Figuring out what belongs in a blank is where the thinking happens.
This worksheet gives Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners sequences with a few missing numbers to fill in. Some count forward. Some count backward. Some skip count. Teachers use it in math centres and as quick assessments.
How to use this worksheet
If your child gets stuck, encourage them to count out loud from the number before the blank. That often gets them unstuck. For skip counting sequences, look at the pattern first. Is the number going up by 2, 5, or 10? Once they spot the jump, the missing number is easy to find.
💡 Tip: Sit with your child during the first few questions to make sure they understand the instructions, then let them work independently.
About this worksheet
Number sense is the foundation of everything
Number sense is one of those math skills that pays off for years. Kids who really understand number sequences find addition, subtraction, and eventually multiplication easier to grasp. This missing numbers worksheet gives Kindergarten and Grade 1 students focused practice with the number patterns they will use every day.
Aligned with US Common Core and UK KS1 number frameworks. For extra support, keep a 100s chart nearby. Once your student can do the sequences without the chart, they have really got it.
